AI-native product engineer

Kody Dennon

I turn business problems into working software by directing AI coding agents and taking responsibility for the product, infrastructure, verification, release, and production outcome.

AI agents generate the implementation code in my portfolio. I define what needs to exist, translate client and operator needs into product rules, evaluate proposed architecture, choose services, manage accounts and environments, investigate failures, direct corrections, and decide whether the result is ready to ship.

Since October 2025, I have directed client platforms, business migrations, production infrastructure, released developer tools, security protocols, desktop applications, and experimental products. The measured local portfolio contains approximately 1.59 million tracked source lines across 25 repositories, with every project labeled by maturity rather than presented as equally production-ready.

My foundation is operational. Before software product work, I founded and ran Honest Tech Services, supported small businesses, administered networks and backups, negotiated vendors, operated authorized appliance service, and handled real incidents where the outcome mattered to a customer. That background is why I care more about whether a system works in production than whether a demo looks finished.

What I value

  • Practical experience

Business rules and production incidents come from real operators and customers, not invented portfolio prompts.

  • Clear communication

I translate between business owners, users, infrastructure, and coding agents without hiding uncertainty.

  • Reliable follow-through

I inspect the live result, direct corrections, and remain accountable after deployment.

  • Explicit AI authorship

I do not pretend to hand-code the portfolio. AI generates the implementation; my work is direction, judgment, verification, and ownership.
